A couple of animal shelters in St. Louis apparently have no air conditioning and a couple of dogs had to die before anybody bothered to do anything about it. Maybe I'm just crazy, but in a city where the temperature in summer routinely hits 90°F an above, shouldn't an animal shelter have air conditioning? One of the shelters is even in Ladue, one of our wealthiest areas. I'm surprised, with temps hitting 100° fairly often over the past few weeks, that only two animals died. I wonder if more died, but no one bothered to say anything.
